// shogun's storm

Forge Your WarriorMission 1

Before a samurai can fight, he must be born. Design your first warrior — Jin Sakai, the Ghost — from concept art to animated 3D fighter. Everything happens in one Claude Code conversation. You describe, Claude builds.

Your Jin, Not the Game's Jin

You already designed an entire fighting game around Ghost of Tsushima — team rosters, a betrayal mechanic, Ghost Mode. Today you decide what your Jin Sakai looks like in that game. Not a copy from the original — your version, your vision.

Before you generate anything, describe Jin Sakai to Claude Code. Not the Jin from the game — YOUR Jin. The one who fights in Shogun's Storm. Claude will ask you questions to sharpen the vision.

💬 Say this to Claude Code
I'm designing Jin Sakai for my game Shogun's Storm. Let me describe what I see.
Then describe him. Think about: armor (heavy or light? dark or traditional?), katana (how he holds it, one or two swords?), stance (ready to fight? calm? mid-draw?), colors, mood.

Claude will ask follow-up questions — go deep. The more specific you are now, the better the concept art will be. Think about what makes YOUR Jin different from the original.

  • ⚔️ The katana matters. You built one in AI Studio — you know blade anatomy. Does Jin carry a katana? A katana and tanto? How does the weapon look?
  • 🎨 Colors tell a story. Ghost of Tsushima uses grey/blue/red. Does your Jin follow that palette or break from it?
  • 👀 The Ghost is someone who made a hard choice. Does that show in how he stands? In his expression?
  1. Open Claude Code. Describe YOUR Jin Sakai — armor, weapon, stance, colors, mood.
  2. Answer Claude's follow-up questions. Go specific.
  3. When Claude says it has a clear picture — move to Phase 2.

Now Claude generates concept art based on your description. You'll see Jin for the first time. Then you iterate — same process you used on Day 2 with image generation. The first image is never the final image.

💬 Say this to Claude Code
Generate concept art of Jin based on what I described. Full body, clean background, detailed character design. I need to see the armor, the weapon, and the stance clearly.

When the image appears — look at it carefully. What's right? What needs to change?

🔁
The iteration loop. Tell Claude what to keep and what to fix: "The armor is right but the katana is too short. Keep the dark color palette." Usually takes 2–4 rounds to land on the one that makes you say "that's him."
🎨
For the 3D step: The final image needs to show Jin clearly — full body, readable angle (front or 3/4 view), details visible. If the image is too artistic or abstract, Meshy will struggle to turn it into a 3D model. Clean shapes, clear silhouette.
  1. Tell Claude to generate the concept art.
  2. Look at the result. Say what's right and what needs to change.
  3. Iterate. Each round gets closer.
  4. When you see YOUR Jin — when the image matches what's in your head — lock it in.

You don't need to leave Claude Code. Claude sends your concept art directly to Meshy and builds the 3D model for you. Same Meshy you know — but now Claude calls it, so everything stays in one conversation.

💬 Say this to Claude Code
Turn my Jin concept art into a 3D model. Use Image to 3D.
Claude will send the image to Meshy via MCP and show you the result when it's ready. Takes about a minute.

When the model comes back — review it. Does it capture the armor? The katana? The silhouette? If not, tell Claude what's wrong and try again.

💡
Don't chase perfection. The 3D model won't be a pixel-perfect copy of the concept art. The goal is a recognizable Jin Sakai with the right vibe — the armor, the stance, the weapon. Details get refined through lighting and effects when we build the game.

Once the 3D model looks right — rig and animate.

💬 Say this to Claude Code
Rig Jin as a humanoid so he can move. Then let's pick his combat animations.
Claude will auto-rig the model through Meshy MCP. Then you choose which fighting moves to give him.

You pick the moveset. Claude will present the animation options. Each animation you choose is a move in Jin's arsenal — you're designing the combat.

PresetWhat It Does in Your Game
IdleStanding ready — the default state
Combat_StanceFighting position before a fight
Sword_JudgmentPrimary sword attack — a clean, powerful strike
Left_SlashSecondary attack — different angle
Double_Combo_AttackTwo-hit combo sequence
Triple_Combo_AttackThree-hit combo — the big damage move
Sword_ParryThe parry — the signature samurai mechanic
Block1Standard blocking stance
BeHit_FlyUpGetting hit reaction
DyingDeath animation
WalkingWalking movement
Run_02Running movement
⚔️
This is the minimum, not the limit. If you find a combat move in the library that feels right for Jin — add it. You're the game designer.

Export: Tell Claude to download the final animated model as FBX. One file with Jin's model, skeleton, and every animation you selected.

  1. Tell Claude to convert concept art to 3D. Review and iterate.
  2. Tell Claude to rig Jin. Takes about 30 seconds.
  3. Pick Jin's combat moveset from the animation presets.
  4. Ask Claude about extras — if something sounds cool, add it.
  5. Tell Claude to download the final animated model as FBX.

Take Him for a Walk

Your warrior is forged, rigged, and animated. Now you control him. Claude builds a Dojo — a simple 3D space where you walk Jin around with your controller and trigger every move you chose.

💬 Say this to Claude Code
Build me a dojo. I want to walk Jin around and test all his moves with my controller.
Claude will create a Three.js scene — a floor, some lighting, your character. Plug in your Xbox controller and go.

What you'll have:

🍴
This is the moment. You described a character in words. You saw him as concept art. You watched him become 3D. You chose his fighting moves. Now he's on screen, responding to your hands. That samurai exists because of decisions you made today.
🏆
Mission complete. Next up — The Arena. We put an enemy in front of Jin. Your attacks will connect. You'll feel the hits. First blood.
  1. Tell Claude to build the Dojo scene.
  2. Plug in your Xbox controller.
  3. Walk around. Try every move. See what YOUR Jin looks like in action.
  4. If something feels off — tell Claude. Change the camera, adjust the lighting, swap an animation.
  5. When it feels right, you're done. Your warrior is ready for battle.

Next Mission: The Arena
Your warrior is forged. Now he needs someone to fight. Mission 2 puts an enemy in front of Jin — your attacks connect, hits land with impact, and the combat starts to feel real. First blood.
If You Have Time Left...
Bonus objectives: Design concept art for a Mongol enemy (Jin needs someone to fight). Or design Yuna, Ishikawa, or Khotun Khan — start building the roster. Or explore Meshy's animation library deeper — find hidden combat moves that feel right for your characters.
